Assembled, not typed
History assembles itself from real work: every conversation, quote, invoice, and payment links back to the customer it belongs to. The paper trail is a byproduct of doing the work, not extra work.
Why it matters
When a customer writes again — even a year later — whoever answers sees the full story: what they bought, what they were promised, what went wrong last time. No customer ever has to re-explain their history.
Permanence
Business data can be deleted by the owner within the published window; the audit trail of actions remains, without file contents. See the security topic for the full picture.
